YEREVAN. – Armenia registered 2,046 cases of acute respiratory infection on Dec. 26 - Jan. 8, while there were 1,447 cases in the same period last year, chief specialist of Hygiene and Epidemic Inspection at the Ministry of Healthcare Liana Torosyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.

As for emergent medical service calls, there were 665 calls related to infection, compared to 650 calls in the same period last year. To note calls were reduced by 50% on pneumonia.

The expert advised to follow the preventive means and advises of the Ministry.
