Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan on Tuesday met with Filip Ivanovic, Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs of Montenegro. The meeting took place in the framework of the Yerevan Dialogue international forum in the Armenian capital.

Mirzoyan expressed his gratitude to Ivanovic for accepting the invitation to participate in the Yerevan Dialogue forum, emphasizing that the active exchange of visits reflects the strong political dialogue between Armenia and Montenegro and their shared commitment to expanding cooperation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

Building on their meeting held in Yerevan in March, Ararat Mirzoyan and Filip Ivanovic discussed the implementation of initiatives aimed at developing sectoral cooperation. The positive results achieved in the tourism sector were noted with satisfaction, while high technology, information technology, health care, and economy were identified as domains with promising potential for further development.

The foreign minister of Armenia and the deputy prime minister of Montenegro exchanged views also on cooperation with the European Union and engagement within the framework of the European Political Community.

Efforts aimed at establishing peace in the South Caucasus were also touched upon, in the context of which FM Mirzoyan underscored the importance of signing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
