Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif will attend the opening ceremony of Lachin International Airport on Wednesday, May 28, Turkish Agency Anadolu reports. 

This is the third airport built by Azerbaijan on the territory of occupied Artsakh. It is located at an altitude of 1800 meters above sea level.

The construction of the airport was started in 2021. It is located 30 km from the center of Lachin and 70 km from the city of Shushi. The runway is 3 thousand meters long and 60 meters wide. The terminal is capable of handling up to 200 passengers per hour.
