Turkey and Armenia will benefit from the normalization of their relations, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said, reports Anadolu Agency.

“We [i.e. Turkey] are moving in a gradual process of normalization of relations with Armenia. When peace is established and relations are normalized, we will see that our [two] countries will benefit from it,” Erdogan said.

But at the same time, according to him, Turkey expects Iran to support the steps toward the so-called “Zangezur corridor”—via Armenia—which will supposedly serve regional peace, stability, and development.

Erdogan touched also upon the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, where Ankara is “making a necessary contribution.” In his opinion, peace between Yerevan and Baku is already on the horizon.
