Direct talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Ukraine’s Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and US President Donald Trump on the Ukrainian settlement can be held only after achieving results in the talks between the Russian and Ukrainian delegations. This was stated by Russian presidential spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a press briefing.

"Putin has repeatedly said that he is in principle in favor of contacts at the highest level. Of course, they are required, but they must be ready. And first, a result must be achieved in direct negotiations between the delegations of the two countries [i.e. Russia and Ukraine]. If such a result is achieved, and when it is achieved, then, of course, we can talk about contacts at the highest level," said the Kremlin spox.
