GM has targeted a market segment where it's historically failed by building something new: An electric motorcycle. Or, at least, a motorcycle-ish bike, reports Jalopnik.

It seems to fall in that nebulous middle ground between an ebike and an electric motorcycle. The footpegs point toward a motorcycle, but that rear hub motor won't exactly give the bike Zero power.

This GM bike, should it reach production, will likely end up a cheap, lightweight bike built for bopping around cities. It seems like a more commuter-focused design. The bike seems to have a hydraulic front brake but an unassisted lever for the rear. One should expect something more like a little electric scooter. If this little bike ends up making it to market, it'll likely be a lightweight way to bop around cities.
