The Office of the Honorary Consul of France has opened Monday in Goris, Armenia.

French ambassador to Armenia Olivier Decottignies, Goris mayor Arush Arushanyan, Syunik Province governor Robert Ghukasyan, and Honorary Consul of France Karmen Apunts also attended the event and cut the festive ribbon.

During a joint press conference with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Yerevan last week, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Jean-Noel Barrot had announced that France will open a consular agency in Goris city of Armenia’s Syunik Province.
