Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Robert Abisoghomonyan on Monday met with Guy Ryder, the UN Under Secretary General for Policy, on the sidelines of the Hamburg Sustainability Conference, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.

During the meeting, views were exchanged on the UN80 initiative of the UN Secretary General and the implementation of the fundamental reforms within its framework. The deputy FM emphasized their effective cooperation with the UN Office in Armenia, and touched upon the ongoing work in the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2026-2030, as well as the programs being implemented by UN agencies in Armenia in support of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

The interlocutors touched also upon the preparations for the 17th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17), which will be hosted by Armenia in 2026.

Also, Abisoghomonyan briefed Ryder on recent regional developments, reaffirmed the commitment of Armenia to the peace agenda and, in this context stressed the importance of the swift signing of the agreement on peace and establishment of interstate relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
