Armenia confirms its readiness to start consultations as soon as possible to determine the date and place of signing the peace treaty with Azerbaijan. Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this during the debates on the report on the implementation of the 2024 state budget of Armenia at Thursday’s joint meeting of the standing committees of the parliament.
According to Mirzoyan, the Azerbaijani party also has expressed its position in this regard.
"There are certain preconditions. One of the topics is the dissolution of the OSCE Minsk Group, which is acceptable to us. Indeed, when the signed document appears, the conflict [over Nagorno-Karabakh] will end. Logically, there will be no need for any organizations related to this conflict," said the Armenian FM.
Mirzoyan noted that the processes of dissolving the OSCE Minsk Group and signing the peace treaty should proceed simultaneously.
"Two documents can be signed at the same time," said the Armenian FM.
