There will be a monitoring of cargo passing through Armenia from Azerbaijan. Chairman of the State Revenue Committee (SRC), Eduard Hakobyan, on Monday told reporters about this in the National Assembly of Armenia.

“Our task is to organize customs control in any scenario. We are talking about unblocking, opening the borders. We must be ready. We are ready for any scenario. And for any scenario we have the appropriate tools that will enable [us] to adapt to any scenario, carry out customs control,” Hakobyan said.

As for the transportation of cargo from Azerbaijan by railway through the territory of Armenia in the event of unblocking regional communications, the SRC chairman said that they will exercise maximum monitoring within their jurisdiction, which they are doing now in the case of any border.
