Forty-seven Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip in the past 24 hours, the health ministry of this Palestinian enclave informed on Telegram.

In the past 24 hours, 47 bodies were brought to Gaza hospitals, while 388 people were injured, the ministry said in a statement.

Palestinian doctors added that the death toll in the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has reached 54,927, and the number of injured has reached 126,615.

On March 18, the Israeli army resumed its military operations in the Gaza Strip, thus violating the ceasefire that was reached in January. After several rounds of talks brokered by Qatar, Egypt, and the United States, the Palestinian Hamas movement and Israel have failed to agree on the terms of a new ceasefire.
