Anna Hakobyan, Executive Director of the “My Step” Foundation and wife of the Armenian Prime Minister, will go to China in September to study at a two-year master's program in Chinese philosophy at the Beijing Pedagogical University. “My Step” Foundation reports. 

“The program is taught in English and includes a comprehensive study of Chinese schools of philosophy, ethics and political theory. “During my last visit to China and observing how people live in this powerful country, I thought that the cause of many of our problems is education,” Ms. Hakobyan said at several meetings of the ‘Education is Fashionable’ movement," says the statement by “My Step” Foundation. 

"Continuing her higher education in China after a break in academia for many years, Ms. Hakobyan also serves as an example. She believes that one should always be open to global experiences and, by localizing them, use them to serve the overall development of society. In Beijing, Anna Hakobyan will study the fundamentals of Chinese philosophy, including Confucianism, Taoism, Chinese political philosophy, Chinese ethics, etc. When the admission process, including the interview, began in February, the faculty was very impressed with Ms. Anna Hakobyan's willingness to study, her answers, and her goals from the very first interview. Their warm words and appreciation further committed Ms. Hakobyan to study as best as possible and to use her education for a common goal," says the statement.
