The “trial” of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) former state minister Ruben Vardanyan resumed Tuesday in the Azerbaijani capital Baku, Azerbaijani media report.

At the beginning of the session, Vardanyan submitted to the court another petition to provide his family members with a copy of the “indictment” and asked to consider the petitions he submitted during the previous “hearings”.

Ruben Vardanyan’s defense attorney, Abraham Berman, defended his client’s position.

In addition, Vardanyan submitted a petition to verify the correspondence of the Russian translation of the “indictment” in the “criminal case” with the Azerbaijani text by conducting an expert examination. The Baku “court,” however, denied both petitions. Then the “injured parties” spoke.

The next “court hearing” was scheduled for June 17.
