We have repeatedly said that NATO does not bring anything good to the security of the South Caucasus. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Wednesday’s press briefing.

“On the contrary, the main objective of Western countries is to destabilize the region, pit it against each other, create new hotbeds of tension. We hope that both Baku and Yerevan will equally understand our justified concerns on this matter, and will fully assess the risks of deepening their cooperation with aggressive military alliances,” added Zakharova.
