At 3am Friday, Israel launched an attack on Iran. The Israeli Air Force struck the Natanz and Fordow uranium enrichment facilities, the Kermanshah and Khorramabad missile bases, as well as capital Tehran, Isfahan, Tabriz, and several other major cities in Iran.

The targets were the leadership of the Iranian armed forces and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), as well as scientists working on the nuclear program. Strikes were also carried out in Qom, where many members of the Islamic Republic's spiritual leadership live.

The Iranian state news agency IRNA, citing unconfirmed sources, reports that the Israeli strikes have killed IRGC Commander Hossein Salami and physicist Mohammad Mehdi Tehranchi.
