Israel has struck Iranian territory for the second time. The strikes damaged a key nuclear facility in capital Tehran, Iran International reports.

Details of the second strike, however, are currently unknown.

Meanwhile, a key uranium enrichment facility in the Iranian city of Natanz was damaged several times during shelling, reports The Times of Israel. Iranian state television showed footage of thick smoke, and said the facility had received several hits.

The extent of the damage is still unknown. The facility is partly above ground, partly underground, and contains multiple centrifuge halls that spin uranium gas for the nuclear program, adds The Times of Israel.

Early morning on Friday, Israel launched military operation “Rising Lion” against Iran. As part of it, the Israel Defense Forces attacked Iran's nuclear and military facilities. The capital Tehran and several other cities were hit, too.
