The Israeli Air Force has carried out five strikes on Iran so far, a military official told The Times of Israel.
The official said hundreds of strikes had been carried out.
The Israeli army had previously said it was striking Iranian nuclear facilities, military facilities, and senior military and nuclear officials.
As reported earlier, the commander of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, also was killed in the Israeli strikes.
Also, Iran had said that these strikes targeted not only the country’s nuclear facilities but also civilians, killing civilians, including women and children.
