Armenia does not set itself the task of breaking off relations with Russia. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this in the Czech Republic on June 13, Radio Liberty reports.

 "I said that our parliament recently passed a law on the start of membership in the European Union. Now we have very close cooperation with the EU. But on the other hand, we do not have the task of breaking relations with Russia, because our foreign policy is balanced and balancing. And this is our strategy," Pashinyan stated. 

The Armenian Parliament fully adopted the bill on the launch of the EU membership process in March. After the adoption of the law on the start of the EU membership process, which became an additional reason for Armenian-Russian tensions, various high-ranking officials from Moscow said that Yerevan should choose either the EAEU or the EU.

The EU took the same position when Armenia joined the EAEU.
