Azerbaijan has not yet responded to the materials submitted by Armenia on the ceasefire violations by the Azerbaijani armed forces. Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, Armen Grigoryan, told this to reporters on the sidelines of the 2025 APRI Forum on Friday.

According to Grigoryan, one of the objectives of the shootings from Azerbaijani positions in the territory of Armenian border villages may be "to divert the attention of the international community from the successes achieved around the peace treaty."

"Of course, there may be other objectives. We continue to monitor and try to understand the motives," Grigoryan added.

He recalled that Armenia has proposed to Azerbaijan to form a joint commission to investigate border incidents. An official document has been transferred to Baku, and some discussions have been held with the Azerbaijani side.

Armenia has asked Azerbaijan to provide information on "violations by the Armenian side." The latter has conducted a thorough investigation and found virtually no violations on its part.

In turn, Armenia has sent information on border incidents, including video footage of violations by the Azerbaijani side.

 “We expect the Azerbaijani side to investigate... Azerbaijan has not yet transferred such data to the Armenian side, and we expect them to do so,” noted the secretary of the Security Council of Armenia.

In recent months, Azerbaijani armed forces have been periodically firing on Khoznavar and Khnatsakh villages of Armenia’s Syunik Province. And from time to time, they even fire directly on residential houses.
