YEREVAN. – Military attack on Iran should not be excluded, however, current developments are not preparation to attack but psychological pressure on Tehran to make it stop works on enriching uranium, deputy head of Noravank Armenian scientific-educational foundation Sevak Sarukhanyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Current developments will allow the West to make a revolution in Syria. They will lead to weakening of Iran’s position as well,” the expert said.
Sarukhanyan also told that there are influential powers within Iran as well.
“They are, for example, radical conservatives, forming part of the Iranian authorities and being against any reform and use the situation for their own interests. It is useful for them to have the U.S. and Israel as enemies,” he said. “They are trying to use the intensification of tension to sieve their possible political opponents and secure their further reproduction of authority.”
