Part of Armenian cargo has remained in the port of Bandar Abbas and on the roads in Iran. This was stated by Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan during the debates on the report on the implementation of the 2024 state budget of Armenia at Monday’s meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Economic Affairs—and answering the questions of the MPs.

Papoyan, in particular, recalled that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia had already expressed its official position on the matter, and hoped for the establishment of peace as soon as possible.

“Stability in the region is very important for all countries, including Armenia. We [i.e. Armenia] have difficulties both in terms of import and export... These are factors that are beyond our control. However, we hope that the conflict will be resolved soon, and we will be able to transport goods through Armenia's friendly [neighbor] Iran, as it was before,” the economy minister said.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran, which was followed by retaliatory measures. Military actions between the two countries are continuing.
