Iranian law enforcement agencies have foiled a series of terrorist attacks that a group was planning to carry out in Rey, a city south of capital Tehran, Mehr News Agency reports.

The police carried out an operation against a group allegedly linked to the Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad.

All threats were eliminated during the successful operation, Mehr added.

On June 13, Israel attacked Iran, and this was followed by retaliatory measures by Iran. Military actions between the two countries are continuing to this day.
