Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has voiced a condition before Armenia that is not at all new, but important from Baku's point of view: to accept hundreds of thousands of Azerbaijanis. The way this demand is presented deserves special attention.

“Armenia must respect the right of Azerbaijanis to return to their ancestral lands. This is an essential condition for the establishment of peace, reconciliation, and human rights in the region,” said Aliyev in his message to the participants of the International Symposium of Ombudsmen, in Azerbaijani capital Baku, Report.az informs

In other words, the Azerbaijani president is killing two birds with one stone: demanding "return," and declaring almost all of Armenia being a "native Azerbaijani" territory.
