According to my information, a trilateral meeting is not planned at the moment, but I cannot rule it out; very often decisions are made on the spot. Arman Yeghoyan, an MP of the ruling majority Civil Contract Faction and Chair of the Standing Committee on European Integration of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, stated this while speaking with reporters at the NA Thursday—and addressing the question of whether a Armenia-Azerbaijan-Turkey trilateral meeting was planned within the framework of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's visit to Turkey on Friday.

"The visit is very important, it is the first bilateral visit since [Armenia’s] independence [in 1991]. Especially in this ‘boiling’ region, I believe one needs to talk with Turkey, understand each other. At the moment, the agenda is the normalization of Armenia-Turkey relations. It is the agenda around which our [special] envoys have been negotiating for several years," said the Armenian ruling force MP.

According to Yeghoyan, if Turkey has an objective, it can bring Azerbaijan to a constructive arena, but whether or not it will have such political will is another matter.
