I really liked the exemplary answer of the Russian president during yesterday’s conversation with the editors-in-chief of the media, and I will allow myself to plagiarize: “I don’t even want to think about it, I don’t even want to discuss it.” Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Thursday’s press briefing—and answering a question about Azerbaijani president Aliyev's possible plans to open the "Zangezur corridor"—via Armenia—amid the current Iran-Israel conflict.

“Our [i.e. Russia’s] efforts are aimed at de-escalating the situation in the region, everything related to Iran, Israel’s aggressive actions against Iran.

We are carrying out respective work with Yerevan and Azerbaijan to normalize relations in this region. We have mechanisms, respective working groups, and specialists of the respective level are resolving all these issues.

Therefore, I don’t even want to think or discuss it [i.e. the ‘Zangezur corridor’ issue]. Both Azerbaijan and Armenia are dear to us as countries and peoples with whom we have had relations for centuries, with whom we have close ties," Zakharova noted.
