We said that there will be no Zangezur corridor, but there will be a “Crossroads of Peace”. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said this at a meeting with the Armenian community in Turkey prior to his meeting with Erdogan.

He explained that it means respecting territorial integrity and sovereignty. According to him, there is no Armenia beyond the Arax River, Turkey is beyond the Arax.

Pashinyan noted that the Middle Corridor agenda is important for Turkey. He believes that one of the features of the Crossroads of Peace project is that it is fully included in the Middle Corridor, protected and promoted by Turkey.

"It is obvious to me that the Peace Crossroads project can be part of the Middle Corridor project and it follows this logic. If (Azerbaijan and Turkey - ed.) want to move through the territory of Armenia, well, let them move. Is it bad? We offer it ourselves within the framework of the Crossroads of the Peace project," he added.

He was skeptical of the opinion that Turkey wants to implement the Great Turan project.

“Now countries are eager to have cargo transportation through their territories, and we don't want to let anyone through,” he concluded.

At the same time, Pashinyan urged to be ready for Azerbaijan to declare that the Zangezur corridor has been opened after the opening of the Crossroads of Peace.
