Items confirming the actions of the accused, including a large number of incendiary items intended to damage power and internet cables on the street, were again found as a result of searches continued within the framework of the investigation of the criminal case under investigation by the Investigative Committee of Armenia on the leaders and participants of the Sacred Struggle movement preparing to commit terrorism and usurp power in Armenia, Armenian News-NEWS.am was informed by the Investigative Committee.

All petitions submitted to the court to select detention as a preventive measure have been granted, and 15 accused have been arrested.

Earlier, Armenian News-NEWS.am reported that early Wednesday morning, Armenia's law enforcement officers began searches in the homes of supporters of the Sacred Struggle movement. They conducted a search also at the residence of Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan, leader of the Sacred Struggle movement.

In addition, searches were conducted in the homes of several members of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) Dashnaktsutyun Party.

The house of Vahe Hakobyan, the leader of the Reviving Armenia party, was searched as well, and his wife was detained.

And the Investigative Committee of Armenia released a statement, according to which the participants and leaders of the Sacred Struggle movement had planned terrorist acts in Armenia. Accordingly, a number of people had participated in the planning, and some former police officers and military personnel were involved, too. Also, the Investigative Committee publicized several respective audio recordings.

And based on the investigator's petition, the supervising prosecutor had made decisions to initiate public criminal prosecution against 16 individuals, which were granted.
