We have seen reports that Azerbaijan is allegedly planning to close down Russian-language schools. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), stated this at Wednesday’s press briefing.

"After some time, the education ministry of Azerbaijan dismissed this information. We are closely monitoring the situation and are in constant contact with the Azerbaijani side on this matter. I believe that our Azerbaijani colleagues took the most timely measures to deny the leak of this information," Zakharova added.
