The situation became tense, a little while ago, in the Sessions’ Hall of the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia.

Ruling force’s faction MP Arman Yeghoyan and Hovik Aghazaryan, who was expelled from the faction, got into an argument.

Yeghoyan addressed Aghazaryan from his seat, and said, “Shame [on you].”

And Aghazaryan, who was standing in the Sessions’ Hall, threw a water bottle at Yeghoyan and “invited” him outside to “settle scores.”

NA vice-speaker Hakob Arshakyan, who was chairing the session, tried to calm the situation.

Several MPs approached Aghazaryan to prevent a possible negative development of events.

“Mr. Aghazaryan, I invite you out of the hall and forbid [you] from participating in this session,” said Hakob Arshakyan.

When Aghazaryan left the Sessions’ Hall, Arshakyan called several times to stop the conversation in the hall.

“Mr. Yeghoyan, I warn, ask you to not shout from the seat. It is clear that the speech represented foreign interests more than Armenian [ones]. I did not like it either, but please don’t give in to emotions,” said Hakob Arshakyan.
