The US embassy in Armenia on Wednesday celebrated the 249th anniversary of American independence with an annual July 4th reception, inspired this year by the iconic Route 66, a symbol of freedom, movement, and connection, the embassy informed.
US Ambassador Kristina Kvien and guest of honor, Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, delivered remarks and shared a toast in celebration of US Independence Day.
Kvien and Grigoryan emphasized the strong and enduring partnership between Armenia and the US.
The partnership between Armenia and the United States is stronger than ever, said Ambassador Kvien, and noted that she looks forward to the new achievements that the two countries will achieve as they work to build a sustainable and prosperous future for their peoples.
With their strong friendship, shared goals, and expanding economic ties, there is no limit to what they can accomplish, added the US diplomat.
Guests enjoyed an evening of Armenian and American cuisine and live music.
The celebration opened with a performance of the US and Armenian national anthems.
