YEREVAN.- Relations between Armenia and Iran continued to develop in 2011. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan visited Iran at the invitation of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in March, says the 2011 report issued by Armenian foreign office.

In his turn leader of the Islamic Republic paid a visit to Armenia in December to meet with his Armenian counterpart, Premier Tigran Sargsyana and Speaker Samvel Nikoyan. Six documents were signed as a result of the visit.

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian visited Ian in September, while his Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi came to Armenia in November.
