Mokka GSE is presented, the most dynamic electric vehicle (EV) from Opel, reports Motor.ru.
The German brand, part of the Stellantis concern, unveiled the next model of the GSE sub-brand which was revived in 2022.
With such a prefix, Mokka has the same “technology” as the Abarth 600e, a reconfigured suspension and sporty accents in the exterior, and accelerates to the first “hundred” meters in 5.9 seconds.
This makes the model more dynamic than the all-wheel drive electric Grandland crossover unveiled in June. The hot Mokka GSE works with a single electric motor with a capacity of 280 horsepower (345 Nm of torque), which is almost twice as much as the standard Mokka.
The front axle has a Torsen limited-slip differential. The 1,600-kilogram crossover can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.9 seconds, and in sports mode the maximum speed is up to 200 kilometers per hour.
The battery is the same as that of a conventional EV—a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 54 kilowatt-hours. In terms of range, however, the powerful version is inferior to the Mokka Electric, which overcomes up to 406 kilometers on a single charge.
Sales of this “charged” EV will begin by the end of 2026. And its price is expected to be announced in the coming months.
