Natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Syria's Aleppo Governorate will begin on Saturday, Turkey's minister of energy and natural resources announced.
"We [i.e. Turkey] will start natural gas supplies from Azerbaijan to Syria's Aleppo Governorate this Saturday, August 2, via the [Turkish] city of Kilis," Alparslan Bayraktar said during a meeting with the editors of Anadolu Agency.
According to Bayraktar, in the future it is planned to supply Syria with about 2 billion cubic meters of natural gas, as well as 1,000 megawatts of electricity per year.
