The relatives of Armenians being held in the prisons of Azerbaijani capital Baku have been informed by the International Committee of the Red Cross that they will no longer visit these captives.

“We, the relatives of all captives in general, were told that the Red Cross will not visit at all, and we have no relations with the captives,” one of the latter’s relative told Azatutyun, the RFE/RL’s Armenian service.

This news has caused serious concern among the relatives of the aforesaid Armenian captives, since the Red Cross was the only organization that was able to visit these Armenians being held in Baku prisons, find out about their real condition, deal with solving their health problems, provide necessary clothing and hygiene items to them, as well as provide video contact with their relatives

As a relative of one of these captives told Azatutyun, their as well as these captives’ last hope has also faded.
