Judicial authorities of Pakistan's Balochistan province have applied an antiterrorism law to a seven-year-old boy, NDTV reports.

The limitations imposed on this Baloch boy, which have restricted his freedom as part of the fight against terrorism, were imposed after he had posted a video on YouTube that included a statement by local human rights activist Gulzar Dost criticizing the regional administration's crackdown on the civil liberties of the population.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) has spoken out in defense of this child. It demanded an immediate end to the authorities' persecution of the boy and his family, as well as for law enforcement agencies to respect children's rights.
