Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday received US President Donald Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff at the Kremlin, reports the press service of the Russian head of state.

Before their talk began, Putin and Witkoff smiled at each other, shook hands, and exchanged a few words.

Witkoff arrived in Russian capital Moscow early Wednesday morning. This is his fifth visit to Russia since the beginning of the year. The last two times he visited Russia were on April 11 and 25, and he had met with Putin, too.
