A ceasefire in the war between Russia and Ukraine is possible, US President Donald Trump told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and European leaders during his call on Wednesday—and following a visit to Moscow by his special envoy Steve Witkoff and the latter’s meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sources said, Bloomberg reports.

Trump told Zelenskyy and the European leaders that, in his opinion, Putin would be open to entering into peace talks in exchange for discussing land swaps, according to several people with knowledge of the discussion.
