The meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has begun at the White House.

Following this, Trump is scheduled to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, after which a trilateral summit between Trump, Pashinyan, and Aliyev will take place.

Earlier, media reports indicated that documents would be signed during the meetings.

Specifically, it was noted that Pashinyan and Trump would sign an agreement to launch the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project, under which Armenia will grant the U.S. exclusive rights to a transportation corridor in Armenia’s Syunik region.

It is expected that Washington, in turn, will sublease these areas to a consortium that will oversee the construction of a railway, oil pipeline, gas pipeline, fiber-optic communication line, and power transmission lines.
