A trilateral meeting between U.S. President Donald Trump, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has begun at the White House.

Before this, the U.S. president held separate bilateral meetings with both Pashinyan and Aliyev.

Earlier, media reports indicated that the United States plans to sign documents with both Armenia and Azerbaijan.

One of these reportedly concerns the launch of the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP), running from Azerbaijan’s occupied Artsakh region through Armenian territory to Nakhchivan.

In addition, it is expected that the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will sign a declaration of intent to withdraw from the OSCE Minsk Group.

Yerevan and Baku are also expected to sign a framework agreement stating that both countries will continue working toward peace. Under this agreement, Azerbaijan and Armenia commit that after signing, neither side can withdraw from or amend 17 articles of the peace deal already agreed upon — these will be considered final and binding.
