Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has told European allies that he is open to a cessation of hostilities and the surrender of territories already under Russian control, The Telegraph reports.

At the same time, Zelenskyy held talks with European leaders ahead of the planned meeting between the Russian and US presidents in Alaska, and stressed that Ukraine would not accept any offer from Trump if it involved giving up control over any other territories.

Such a position means that Ukraine agrees to a freeze on the front line, according to The Telegraph. Moreover, the daily’s sources say Zelenskyy expects reliable guarantees in the form of arms deliveries and a path to NATO membership for Ukraine.
