The Israeli military carried out strikes on the Al-Mawasi area, located in the southern Gaza Strip, near Khan Yunis city, Al Jazeera reports.
The shelling targeted tents housing displaced Palestinians who had lost their homes, or fled from other areas of this Palestinian enclave due to ongoing fighting.
Six people were killed in the attack.
The number of wounded is being determined.
