Following the Russian-American summit in Alaska, US President Donald Trump and his team have begun to take a much deeper approach to the settlement of the Ukraine crisis, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an interview with Russia-24 television.

“US President Donald Trump and his team, especially after the meeting in Alaska, are taking a much deeper approach to the settlement of this crisis, realizing that it is indispensable to eliminate the root causes, which we—[Russian] President [Vladimir] Putin—were speaking about all the time,” Lavrov said.
