Azerbaijan has declined to participate in the Intervision 2025 song contest, which is scheduled to take place in Moscow on Wednesday.

The Intervision contest's Instagram account stated that Azerbaijan and the United Arab Emirates would not participate in this event due to domestic reasons and lack of time to prepare for this contest.

In addition, Intervision's promotional ad—for example, the Red Square video and posters on social media—shows the flags of all participating countries. But the Azerbaijani flag was not there, despite the fact that the country was listed among the participants a long time ago.

Also, the event organizers have posted a selection of emoji flags of all participating countries on the official Telegram account of this contest, but Azerbaijan was not on that list either.
