I want to congratulate all of you on the occasion of the peace established as a result of the declaration signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8. This is how Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan began the regular Cabinet meeting of the Armenian government Thursday, and recalled that he last chaired this meeting on July 18.

"I also want to thank all of you for the work done during this time. Before leaving for Washington, we have had consultations, analyses of the text with the expanded composition of the government, the Security Council, with the participation of the President of the Republic of Armenia, parliamentary colleagues, provincial governors, and have come to the conclusion that we must take this step," Pashinyan added.

He noted that there is a lot of work ahead, but stressed that it is constructive, peaceful, and creative work.
