French President Emmanuel Macron shared details of his talk with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during which they discussed as well the meeting between the leaders of Armenia and Azerbaijan at the White House on August 8.

“We discussed the hope that inspired the meeting between Armenia and Azerbaijan on August 8 under the auspices of [US] President [Donald] Trump. It is important that progress continues, which will enable the reopening of all borders and strengthening of regional cooperation. Lastly, I reaffirmed to President Erdogan France’s readiness to work with Turkey on an ambitious bilateral agenda,” the French president wrote, in particular, on X.
