According to the decrees by the Russian Ministry of Justice, political scientist Sergey Markov on Friday was included in the Russian register of foreign agents.

It is noted that Markov participated in the creation and dissemination of messages and materials of foreign agents among an unlimited number of people, as well as participated in the dissemination of messages and materials of organizations that are on the list of foreign and international organizations whose activities are considered undesirable in Russia.

“In addition, he participated as a respondent on information platforms provided by foreign media outlets and as a foreign agent. He disseminated false information about the decisions made by state agencies of the Russian Federation and the policies they pursue,” the Russian authorities noted.

To note, Sergey Markov is an ardent pro-Azerbaijani political scientist.
