The strategic route of the future “Zangezur Corridor,” after the completion of construction, will become the shortest route to the Turkic world, the Turkic republics, and the Far East, Turkey’s Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Abdulkadir Uraloglu, noted on X.

With the 30-year projection, the project will provide a profit of 147.6 billion Turkish liras (about US $3.6 billion), and the cargo transport capacity will be 15 million tons.

“We consider the Kars-Igdır-Aralik-Dilucu Railway Line not only as a transportation line, but at the same time as a strategic investment that will change the destiny of the region.

"This line will strengthen the Middle Corridor and make our country an even more important hub in international trade," Uraloglu added.
