Armenia recorded 3.9% inflation in June 2025, compared to June 2024, according to the Statistical Committee data.

The overall prices for food and non-alcoholic beverages increased by 6.2% in the country.

But the prices of some goods decreased.

According to the analysis of the Confederation of Trade Unions of Armenia, the figures indicate that most of the income of the country’s population is spent on essential goods, while the amount allocated to education, entertainment, or savings remains limited.

In January-June 2025, the average monthly nominal salary in Armenia amounted to 294,621 drams, which is an increase by 5.6% compared to the same period of the previous year; and in June 2025, it amounted to 297,624 drams.

Although an increase in the average monthly nominal salary was recorded in Armenia in January-June 2025, the increase in the price of goods and services continues to be the reason for maintaining a low level of real incomes of workers.

The prevalence of poverty in Armenia varies by settlement. In urban settlements it amounted to 21.5%, and in rural settlements—to 27.0%. In capital Yerevan it was 17.9%.

In the second quarter of 2025, Armenia’s minimum monthly consumer basket calculated using the methodology of the Ministry of Health amounted to 81,680.9 drams, which is higher than the minimum monthly salary. And the country’s minimum monthly consumer basket calculated using the methodology of the World Bank amounted to 64,713.9 drams.
