Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan issued a message in connection with the groundbreaking ceremony of the Kars-Igdır-Aralik-Dilucu railway line, Milliyet daily reports.

Erdogan said that the opening of this railway line will increase production and exports in the eastern and southeastern Anatolia regions, improve transport infrastructure, and expand the tourism potential of the Mediterranean.

“The expansion of the railway network between Russia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkey will have an extremely positive impact on regional trade. Kars-Igdır-Aralik-Dilucu railway line is of great importance for both our country and our region,” the Turkish president added.
