Ali Akbar Velayati, international affairs senior adviser to Iran’s Supreme Leader, has indirectly opposed the creation of a "corridor" to pass through Armenia.
"According to Herodotus, ever since the time of Cyrus, the Caucasus has always been Iran's defensive line. Cyrus built defensive lines there to prevent the invasion of barbarian tribes," Velayati wrote on X.
